Had this wild hair and thought I would start
sharing my cooking and baking experiences with anyone interested!
As you can tell by now, I've picked up this fabulous
nickname from my hubby over the years. See, he grew up
back in a bit of a simpler time of life and he was lucky enough to
have lived with his mother until he was 35 before I finally came along
(he says he was just waiting on me to grow up and become of legal age,
as there are 17 years between us - LOL). Anyhoo, he was (for lack of a better word) spoiled by her cooking and did she ever know how to
set a spread! Typical Southern momma -- a typical day included any number of goodies....for example, any mix of the following: Biscuits, cornbread, greens, peas, beans,
maters, taters, squash, and don't forget the meat. Ya know, meat and bread were must haves (and he still thinks that way to this day - LOL)!
Anyway, when I decided to throw in my skills and start trying to be a good wife, I brought out some of my favorites, which were mostly casseroles, soups, stews, etc.
Thus.......I was dubbed...
"Queen of the One-Pot Meals!"
And it sticks to this day - LOL!
Therefore, there will probably be a great multitude of one-pot wonders
posted here, as it's apparently my specialty,
but I still love them to this day!

So, as I get adjusted to working on this and cooking/baking more
(with photos - LOL), I'll start posting them here for all of us!
